The Pre-Therapy International Network (PTIN) has adopted a new network structure, formally accepted on June 3, 2025, and launched January 19, 2026. This framework is designed as an international collaboration operating under a shared Declaration. It utilizes a lean organizational model—rather than acting as a formal organization—to allow for "organismic growth".
The transition to this new structure is driven by five primary goals for the network's evolution:
Moving from implicit to explicit processes.
Moving from vague to clear definitions.
Moving from informal to formal arrangements.
Moving from a heavy to a lean structure.
Moving from few to many participants.
The management of the network is divided into three functional areas:
Board of Coordinators: This body manages the direction of the network in accordance with the Declaration. It ensures resources are used solely to accomplish the mission, clarifies membership types, and serves as the official voice of the network.
Network Office: This office manages day-to-day operations. Its responsibilities include membership and financial administration, website maintenance, and managing the mailing list.
Safe Persons: These individuals are designated to ensure a secure environment within the network.
The network maintains quality through a tiered mentoring and certification process.
The Board of Coordinators handles educational policy and the certification of members.
Trainers and Trainers in Training provide mentoring and training to professionals and services, managing the nomination process for advancement within the network.
The structure defines several types of involvement within the network:
Coordinator: Responsible for network policy, mentoring trainers, and certifying members.
Trainer (including those in training): Responsible for mentoring professionals and services, as well as nominating members.
Professional (including those in training): Practitioners involved in Pre-Therapy and Contact Work.
Service (including those in training): Organizations providing Pre-Therapy services.
Informed Service: Entities that are informed about Pre-Therapy standards.
Network Affiliate: Individuals or groups providing various forms of support.
Mailing List: A broader group receiving network communications.
